The KCH Health & Wellness Center provides a variety of programs that can help promote healthy living and manage disease before illness and/or injury occurs. Memberships include professional supervision, group exercise classes, and unlimited visits. Corporate memberships are available. Assessments
  • A personal assessment is a valuable tool utilized by staff exercise physiologist to design an exercise program to meet your goals. The information gathered can be used to determine target heart rate, muscle imbalances, or flexibility concerns. The cost of the personal assessment includes data collection, interpretation of results, exercise prescription, and individual orientation to plan.
  • Fit Test
    This assessment includes measures of weight, body circumferences, lean mass, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, and aerobic fitness. This data will be used to design an exercise plan to improve your fitness goals. Cost for this evaluation is $65.00.

  • Metabolic Test
    This assessment includes measures of weight, body circumferences, resting metabolic rate, muscular strength, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglyceride levels, and aerobic fitness. This data will be used to design an exercise plan to lower your risk for associated chronic diseases. Cost for this evaluation is $65.00.

  • Senior Test - $40
    This assessment is for the 50 and over population. Testing measures include walking, lifting, bending, getting up from a chair, stretching, balance, and bone density. This data will be used to design an exercise plan to improve range of motion, strength, balance, and bone health. Cost for this evaluation is $40.00.

  • Nutrition Consultations

    You are what you eat—it's true. If you're not feeling your best, it may be time to examine your diet. Our Registered Dietitian can assist you with dietary changes to which you can easily adjust in order to start feeling better. Specific help is available for allergies, respiratory problems, frequent infections, skin problems, menstrual difficulties, menopausal concerns, intestinal disorders, weight control, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, arthritis and learning disabilities.

    F.O.R.M. (Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis Management)

    F.O.R.M. is an 8-session program designed to help those who suffer from arthritis. The focus is how to maintain or improve physical function without increasing joint pain, inflammation, and swelling. Cost for this course is $65. Call 574-372-7890 574-372-7890 for the next available course.

    FALL PROOF

    A comprehensive balance and mobility-training program designed to reduce fall and fracture occurrence in the mature adult population. This course is based on the successful program designed by Debra J. Rose, Ph.D., Balance and Mobility Co-Director of the Center for Successful Aging. Cost for this course is $40.     INDIANA TOBACCO QUIT LINE

    The quit line is a free, statewide, telephone-based tobacco cessation resource that provides information to tobacco users and non-tobacco users on tobacco dependence and its treatment.
