Nutrition Consultations
It is true – you are what you eat! If you are not feeling your best, it may be time to examine your diet. Our Registered Dietitian can assist you with dietary changes to which you can easily adjust in order to start feeling better. Specific help is available for allergies, respiratory problems, frequent infections, skin problems, menstrual difficulties, menopausal concerns, intestinal disorders, weight control, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, headaches & migraines, arthritis and learning disabilities. F.O.R.M. (Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis Management)
F.O.R.M. is an 8-week program designed to help those who suffer from arthritis and the discomfort/pain that may result. The focus is how to maintain or increase physical activity levels without increasing joint pain, inflammation and swelling. The F.O.R.M. team will work together to provide the most up-to-date information regarding prescribed medications for the arthritic patient, nutritional supplementation and appropriate exercises.

S.H.A.P.E.-Life
S.H.A.P.E.-Life is a program designed for those with known cardiac or pulmonary disease or a family history of these diseases. This program consists of a combination of supervised exercise sessions and a continuous lecture series covering coping techniques and lifestyle modification. After completing the comprehensive evaluation, a personal exercise prescription and care plan will be developed based on your individual needs and abilities. You will participate in strictly monitored sessions where exercise intensity and duration will be increased at an appropriate rate. Participants make monthly commitments and may continue in this program indefinitely.

RESTING METABOLIC RATE TESTING
BodyGem provides a measure of your metabolism at rest. This quick and easy test can help determine the number of calories needed to lose weight, maintain weight or gain weight. In order to be accurate, testing should be completed 8-12 hours after eating or exercising.

FALL PROOF
A comprehensive balance and mobility-training program designed to reduce fall and fracture occurrence in the mature adult population. This course is based on the successful program designed by Debra J. Rose, Ph.D., Balance and Mobility Co-Director of the Center for Successful Aging.

COMMUNITY WELLNESS SCREENINGS
The KCH Health and Wellness Center offers monthly community wellness screenings throughout the year for those needing lab testing performed. Testing is performed monthly and on the third Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30 am. Click here for the schedule.

FREEDOM FROM SMOKING
Due to a partnership with the Smoke-Free Fulton and Kosciusko Counties, the KCH Health and Wellness Center provides classes to community members at no charge. Participants must attend all 7 sessions and submit a $25.00 fee at the first session. The fee will then be returned to attendees who complete all 7 sessions. The program focuses on long-term freedom from smoking, the latest improved skills for good stress management, assertive communication, weight control and exercise. Certified facilitators conduct the class. No referral is necessary.

INDIANA TOBACCO QUIT LINE
The quit line is a free, statewide, telephone-based tobacco cessation resource. The quit line provides information to tobacco users and non-tobacco users on tobacco dependence and its treatment and other tobacco-related information. Free nicotine patches or nicotine gum are provided while supplies last. Call 1-800 QUIT NOW for further information.
