Kosciusko Community Hospital's Chaplaincy Ministry helps to meet the spiritual needs of patients, family members, physicians and staff.
Thanks to the support of many area churches, Doug West, Director of the Chaplaincy Ministry, is supported by a team of volunteer chaplain associates made up of local pastors and church members from various church denominations.
In addition to making daily rounds at each patient unit, a chaplain is available upon request to:
- Meet with patients, family members, and friends.
- Conduct support groups, classes, and seminars for patients, physicians, and staff on spiritual care and health care themes.
- Support and facilitate the ministries of area pastors with patients affiliated with their churches.
- Administer sacraments and provide Bibles and bible-based reading materials to patients.
