The Dietary Service Center provides meal service, dietary consulting, nutritional intervention and education at Kosciusko Community Hospital. In addition to meeting the food service needs of our inpatients, visitors and staff, the center prepares meals for the Bowen Center, as well as approximately 400 meals a week for the county's Home Delivered Meal program. The center also provides catering services and can accommodate catered events for up to 100 people at the Health and Wellness Center.
The Dietary Service Center offers nutritional therapy services, including nutritional assessments, parenteral and enteral feeding consultations and inpatient/outpatient diet instruction. The center's dietitians consult with other Kosciusko Community Hospital programs like Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the Weight Management Center and diabetes education classes.
In addition, dietitians conduct nutrition education seminars at area businesses and clubs.

Mobile Meals
People recently discharged from the hospital, those who have a disability or multiple health problems, and those who need assistance with meal preparation may benefit from the Mobile Meals service of Kosciusko Community Hospital. From one to five days per week, as arranged, a hot meal is delivered to the home at mid-day. Available at no extra cost are special diets, including diabetic, low salt/low cholesterol/low fat, and chopped or pureed textures. All are prepared under the guidance of a registered dietitian to address individual nutritional requirements as well as variety and taste. Mobile Meals delivery volunteers also check on the recipient's well-being, offering peace of mind to loved ones.
